Sales at specialty jewellery stores in the
U.S. grew 3.8 percent to $31.43 billion in 2016 following a sharp rise in
December, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. December sales jumped
7 percent to $6.21 billion from $5.81 billion in December 2015, the provisional
figures showed.
London: The global platinum deficit is
predicted to weigh in at 120,000 oz in 2017, a larger shortfall than previously
estimated, driven by a fall in supply, industry lobby group, the World Platinum
Investment Council, said in its Platinum Quarterly Thursday.
