Mecca: The biggest gold mine in Saudi
Arabia is set to be launched in Mecca. The governor of Mecca, Prince Khalid
Al-Faisal will launch the Al-Duwaihi Gold Mine and Factory and other mining
infrastructure projects in the region on Monday, local daily Arab News
Vicenza: A merger announced in January
between the Italian Exhibition Group Spa (IEG) and Arezzo Fiere e Congressi has
been approved, thus creating a single representative trade show platform for
the entire sector Italian gold and jewellery industry. IEG was created by the
merger of Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza.

Moscow: Russian diamond miner Alrosa
briefed its long-term clients last week on the requirements for its new
three-year contract period, which begins in 2018.
To determine whether clients qualify for
the “Alrosa Alliance” program, the company will evaluate their applications and
assess their cooperation during the current contract period, the miner said.

Praveenshankar Pandya had with newly appointed ALROSA president Sergey Ivanov,
and Vice Presidents Yuri Okoyomov and Andrey Polyakov. This was first meeting
with the GJEPC since Ivanov recently assumed his new responsibility.
