Surat: The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Gujarat Region, organised a seminar on ‘Demonetisation and Opportunities for G&J Sector’ at Surat yesterday. Over 50 members of the trade were present.
The seminar was addressed by Shri S.P.Shah, founder & chairman, Venus Jewels; Shri Govindbhai Dholakiya, Founder & Chairman, Shree Ramakrishna Exports and CA Nirav Jogani, Vice Chairman, RSM Astute Consulting.
Welcoming the speakers and the attendees, Shri Dinesh Navadiya, Regional Chairman said that the main aim of the Council in organising this seminar was to provide the proper guidance and information to trade members regarding the government’s Demonetisation decision and to dicuss how it can be converted into an opportunity for the further growth of the G&J sector.
After in-depth presentations on various aspects of the subject by each of the speakers, there was a Q&A session in which the audience sought to clear their doubts on the subject.
