Signet to Unveil Inaugural CSR Report

New York: Signet Jewelers Ltd, the world's largest diamond jewelry retailer with around 3,600 stores in the United States, Canada and the UK, is launching its inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

The report sets out Signet’s responsible sourcing and global CSR initiatives, and will be unveiled on Tuesday.

The CSR Report marks the first time Signet has published a formal report with a detailed overview of its activities, programs and achievements, the company said. "The report is truly a reflection of who we are as a company, focusing on our four Corporate Social Responsibility Pillars:

·         People
·         Responsible sourcing
·         Environmental stewardship
·         Charitable giving

Signet said it leads the industry as one of four US companies to have reported a conflict-free gold supply chain for three consecutive years to the SEC (Securities Exchange Commission), as verified through independent audits.

In 2016, it launched the Signet Responsible Sourcing Protocol for Diamonds, which it says ensures that all of its suppliers are in full auditable compliance in 2017. "The Protocol is another protection in partnership with our suppliers to ensure due diligence on the source of all diamonds delivered to Signet.

Over the past four years, Signet has reduced its energy consumption by 24 percent in retail space and offices. In addition, the firm has raised nearly $60 million dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
