This year the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) will be taking part in the UN Global Compact (UNGC) Leaders’ Summit - with our own virtual booth and discussion session. As part of our partnership with the UNGC, we have been given a complimentary registration code, providing RJC community members exclusive access to join our deep dive session on 15 June and the whole two-day summit.
RJC calls to join us for a deep dive session titled 'SDG Impact through the Jewellery Industry' lead by inspiring leaders from across the jewellery industry. Key focussing areas are, 1: Kick-starting efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), 2: How to spur action from the ground up, 3: Achieve more impact through public-private partnerships within the jewellery industry and beyond.
All industries including the jewellery and watch industry are going through a pivotal moment. Now more than ever any organisation looking to recover and rebuild should look at how they can integrate sustainability and responsible business practices into their business models to be more resilient for the future.
It is an important moment to step up the debate as the RJC celebrates its 15th anniversary. The revised Code of Practices aligned with the principles of the Global Compact, OECD Due Diligence and UN Guiding Principles have shaped a new era for business and we welcome more companies to embark on this journey. Together we can build a long-term resilient business model for the next generations to come.
