A Piece of Past the Kirk Kara Vault
The only thing better than a beautiful vintage designer jewelry piece is a beautiful unworn vintage designer jewelry piece, with this in mind, we’re thrilled to unveil The Vault, a new, unique and exclusive shopping destination from Kirk Kara featuring one-of-a-kind, never worn pieces from our extensive archives.
For the first time in our history, we’ve opened a virtual treasure chest filled with handpicked pieces from Kirk Kara collections dating back to the 1970s. These pieces are not just vintage inspired; they are true vintage originals. However, unlike most other vintage or antique jewels on the market today, they’re not pre-owned or from an estate.
The pieces sold in the Vault have never been worn or owned by anyone else, but because they’re decades old, they may have slight imperfections or show signs of age. They’re authentic Kirk Kara designs that are no longer in production, so once you purchase one, it will never be recreated again.
The Vault is divided into three categories: Original Vintage (1970’s), Retro Glam (1980’s), and Modern Vintage (1990’s and later). Each grouping represents a particular era of jewelry design for a highly curated shopping experience. We handpicked jewels from each period to accurately reflect that decade’s aesthetic.
We also collaborated with Los Angeles fashion blogger Zia of The Hunter Collector, who styled our vintage pieces to perfection. 1990’s Modern Vintage, Original Vintage features dramatic jewelry that captures the disco-chic essence of the 1970’s with a mix of bold colored stones, ornate details, and substantial sizes.
Retro Glam captures the boldness of 1980’s fashion in jewelry form. Think chunky pieces, invisible set diamonds, and lots of yellow gold. And finally, we have Modern Vintage, which is just as it sounds – pieces from the more recent past that could almost be part of our current collections! Modern Vintage pieces may include dainty floral detailing, halos, and other design elements still on trend.
