The Jewelled Tiger, a numismatic treasure

Struck from 10oz of pure gold, The Jewelled Tiger is a numismatic treasure honouring one of the most powerful animals in oriental culture with a magnificent three-dimensional representation of the beast known as the ‘king of the mountain’.

The tiger’s body is crafted from 18-carat rose gold and meticulously pavé-set with 328 spectacular Argyle pink diamonds. A Muzo emerald shines from each eye. An ancient symbol of courage, strength and ambition, the tiger is depicted atop a rocky outcrop with its mouth open in a display of dominance.

Among the rarest and most beguiling natural coloured gems on Earth, Argyle pink diamonds are coveted for their exquisite beauty and provenance. No more than a handful of these distinctive, beyond rare diamonds are discovered at the Argyle Diamond Mine in Australia’s rugged north-west Kimberley wilderness each year.

The Jewelled Tiger features approximately three carats of these gems, carefully selected for their superior quality as fancy vivid to purplish pink diamonds. To complete this precious masterpiece, two emeralds from Colombia’s 1,000-year-old Muzo mines represent the tiger’s eyes.

Only eight of these spectacular collectables will be released, making The Jewelled Tiger a priceless cultural icon destined to be treasured for generations.

The splendour of The Jewelled Tiger will be on display at The Perth Mint until sold out.
