GJEPC announces big discounts for IIJS!
Considering ongoing difficult time for trade!

Update 1: In a recent briefing Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) announced big discount for their IIJS show. The briefing led by Pramod Agrawal, Chairman, GJEPC with the Vice Chairman, Colin Shah, Convener Mansukhbhai & ED-GJEPC, Sabyasachi Ray on the dais.
Endeavour of the GJEPC is to attain the target of gem & jewellery (GJ) exports worth US $ 75bn and also focuses to add more work force of 2million by 2022.
De facto business scenario globally is not vibrant amid global geo political, trade & finance, global economic weakness & uncertainties. Except US retail, virtually every center of GJ is gloomy & is in the ambit of uncertainties & slowdown sentiment! During last two years India GJ exports had been tumbled, exports tumbled about 7% during the last year YoY!
Being a player of global village, India is also facing a short phase of slowdown; No doubt, the Modi 2.0 Government has initiated several measures to escape away this slowdown syndrome! In the row, FM has announced several relief & support time to time to ensure EoDB.
These initiatives help GJ trade & industry to grow further. Government’s supportive initiatives & adequate finance would push up the trade-n-industry to be the topmost. In the slowdown trend, supply gone up & demand stayed slower. Now industry is de-stocking! Industry has witnessed several layoffs during the slowdown!
De facto consumer is waiting to settle gold price while millennials are having lot’s other options over jewellery! Yet GJEPC is active to ensure growth & demand! GJEPC has contributed US $ 2million to DPA, who is spending about US $17 million. GJEPC is spending about Rs 5 Crores to boost up jewellery demand in Gulf Region.
Along with the several initiatives, GJEPC announces a big support for the exhibitors of India’s premier show, IIJS. Even today, the IIJS is enjoying highest visitors in the context of rest other global jewellery exhibitions. Being a world’s most preferred show, its popularity is growing more-n-more overseas. More global players are joining IIJS YoY.
