B2C diamond stock sale for the public by AWDC
On the 6th of October, the Voka Open Bedrijvendag (Flanders’ Chambers of Commerce and Industry Open Company Day) will take place. It is the biggest one day event in Flanders where hundreds of companies open their doors to the public for a special behind the scenes visit. The AWDC will be organizing a diamond day for diamond enthusiasts to discover our fascinating industry and to give them the opportunity to better understand how to buy a diamond.
In addition to an educational experience, the AWDC will also be organizing a B2C diamond stock sale for the public. This is an once in a lifetime chance for customers to buy diamonds directly from the source. Where diamond suppliers that can offer a wide range of diamonds from their Antwerp stock. To make it easily accessible for the public, while diamonds from any category may be offered for sale, they should fall into one of the following price categories:
For diamantaires, those who wish to join the event, AWDC says, all diamonds need to be certified by one of the international grading labs: (IGI, GIA, HRD Antwerp, IIDGR), Participation is limited to Antwerp registered diamond companies, which are required to send their available stock list, tailored specifically for this event, to the AWDC. Stock should be based in Antwerp.
AWDC has the final decision on which diamonds will be selected for this event. Diamond suppliers will be notified which of their items have been selected. Diamonds should be dropped off at AWDC between 23-26 Septembers. Unsold diamonds can be picked up at AWDC during the week of October 7. Insurance while the goods are in custody with AWDC will be covered by AWDC.
Jewelers will be involved in this project too. They will have the opportunity to meet customers in the Jewelers Lounge, where they can hold one on one meeting. The selected jewelers may show their designs and create a draft idea for the purchased diamond.
