11 new lamproite targets at Brooking

Lucapa Diamond Company said by providing updates about Western Australia’s West Kimberley lamproite province that the survey was designed to identify additional drilling targets within the Brooking tenement, particularly in areas where diamonds and high levels of lamproite indicator minerals were recovered from previous surface sampling programs.

Lucapa also engaged New Resolution Geophysics to fly a helicopter-borne Time Domain Electromagnetic survey over the entire 118km2 Brooking project area. Modelling and interpretation of the TDEM survey data has been completed, with a total of 11 new targets identified.

These targets include a ~7 hectare anomaly identified at Katie’s Bore, where 20 diamonds and high levels of lamproite indicator minerals were also recovered from previous stream sampling 2. Other geophysical targets were also identified from the TDEM survey within the North East Creek and Homestead Creek prospects, where diamonds and indicator minerals were previously recovered from stream sampling.

Previously Lucapa Diamond had found macro and micro diamonds from the Little Spring Creek prospect at the Brooking diamond project in Western Australia’s West Kimberley region.
