Tender of SA & Angola rough announced by TAGS
Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS) will be holding a rough diamond tender in the state-of-the-art Almas Tower, Dubai from the 31st July to the 8th August 2018. Two regular productions of high quality and high colour material from South Africa and Angola will again be presented.
The TAGS rough diamond tenders continue to go from strength to strength and grow in both caratage and popularity. This rough diamond tender marks the eighth tender event of the year and follows seven previously successful tenders.
While final details will soon be forthcoming from the producers, TAGS are expecting in the region of 15,000 carats of South African goods and 15,000 carats of Angolan goods across a full range of sizes with a combined value in excess of US$30m.
During the previous April 2018 Dubai Tender, approximately 50K carats of high quality rough diamonds from two Angolan sources and one South African source were presented for viewing and achieved a sales value in excess of US$ 41mn.
In its tenders so far in 2018, Trans Atlantic Gem Sales has experienced a steady growth in caratage available for sale, increased participation from a growing number of geographically diverse buyers and the realisation of the best prices in the world market.
