IBJA not to support Bharat Bandh called on Nov 28 against demonetisation

AOJ E-NEWS : This is to state that India Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd. (IBJA) does not support the “Akrosh Divas” (BHARAT BANDH call) on 28th November, 2016.. Mukesh Mehta, National President of IBJA expressed his deep concerns on the strike. Mehta stated that IBJA is in complete support of the Government for curbing black money in the Country. 

He further stated that IBJA has already informed the entire Gems and Jewellery fraternity by SMS, newsletters and Social Media platform to keep their offices, shops, factories and workshops open on 28th November 2016. Gems and Jewellery fraternity has come out totally in support of Modi Government as the entire fraternity says that eradication of fake currency, corruption and black money is the Prime concern of the country.

The PM himself has informed on 8th November, 2016 that the “50 days” window (i.e up to 30th December, 2016) is required to completely wipe out the problem of black money in the Country. . Mehta further stated that the Gems and Jewellery fraternity understands the Prime Minister's request on 8th November, 2016 for cooperation on certain problems arising out of currency demonization and is in complete support for this.

Needless to mention that IBJA has always supported the Government to streamline the Gems and Jewellery Sector; IBJA appreciates the Government’s decision of currency demonization which will eradicate fake currency, corruption and black money in the Country.
