Catoca Director-General quits company!

The director general( DG) of the Mining Society of Catoca, Sergei Amelin, in Saurimo (Lunda Sul), has resigned as the company's head, as he wants to take other challenges, read a press release sent today to ANGOP.

 

In the Catoca Mining Company since 2015, under his leadership the company has experienced significant gains, such as the introduction of a fleet of equipment with greater ore transport capacity and sterile removal, the start-up of the third mill, the improvement of operational control with technology system "Wenco" and the acceleration of work in progress in the Luaxe project, among others.

 

At the moment, it is expected that a new director general will be appointed by the shareholder structure, Endiama, which will meet in Luanda next days to analyze matters of interest to the company. This meeting will outline the company's new strategies to act in the face of the new challenges that are required to meet the responsibilities that lie ahead in the Angolan mining subsector.
