Mountain Province production up 28% in 4Q

Mountain Province Diamonds announces production and sales results for the fourth quarter (4Q) ended December 31, 2019 from the Gahcho Kué Diamond Mine (GK Mine). The Company also releases the details for its Q4 2019 earnings conference call and webcast. All figures are expressed in Canadian dollars unless otherwise noted.

According to the Q4 and FY 2019 details, 11,089,408 total tonnes mined during the quarter, a 2% decrease on comparable period (Q4 2018: 11,365,990).  43,224,827 total tonnes mined during FY 2019, a 4% increase from comparable period (FY 2018: 41,444,057).

Dynacor Peru, resumes gold exports

Dynacor Gold Mines, a leading ore purchasing and processing corporation servicing artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM) in Peru, reports its gold exports resume. 

The shipment retained from December 2019 is still under review with Peruvian customs authorities. Following the export retention, the Corporation submitted 7,800 pages of supporting documents. With this, management expects to obtain the final clearance of the one shipment retained in early December. Upon completion of the review, the Corporation will immediately publish a news release informing the market.

File GSTR-3B Returns in a Staggered

Considering the difficulties faced by trade and industry in filing of returns, the government has decided to introduce several measures to ease the process. The Finance Ministry today said that now GST taxpayers can file their GSTR-3B returns in a staggered manner.

Presently the last date of filing GSTR-3B returns for every taxpayer is 20th of every month. From now on, the last date for filing of GSTR-3B for the taxpayers having annual turnover of Rs 5 crore and above in the previous financial year would be 20th of the month. Thus, around 8 lakh regular taxpayers would have the last date of GSTR-3B filing as 20th of every month without late fees.

Test drilling at Mir kimberlite commenced!

Alrosa has started drilling for the further investigation of the Mir kimberlite pipe as part of its strategic investment plan to study feasibility for the production at its unique diamond deposit.

Experts from Alrosa’s Vilyui Exploration Expedition will start studies at the depth of 1,200 to 1,600 meters below the surface. This will help to define more precisely the pipe’s dimensions, its position, diamond quality and grades, as well as geological conditions and hydrogeology of the deposit. Total exploration costs are estimated at RUB 2 billion.

Anglo PGM production Q4 announced!

Commitment to elimination of fatalities, no fatalities occurred in Q4 2019, resulting in a fatal free year at managed operations. Total PGM production increased 9% against prior year (Q4 2018) to 1,152,700 ounces, (excluding Sibanye-Stillwater 4E material), despite the impact of Eskom power outages, which led to a loss of c.20,000 PGM ounces!

Own managed mines PGM production increased by 21% to 675,200 ounces due to increased production from all own managed mines!
