SEEPZ SEZ’s two wishes from budget!

At least since last half decade a Gem & Jewellery export from SEEPZ is stalled under US$ 2.5bn p.a. During the FY 2015-16 SEEPZ SEZ Export halted at US$ 2.33bn, further a gem-n-jewellery export during FY 2016-17 remained up to US$ 2.31bn, 2017-18 US$ 2.15bn & 2018-19 US$ 2.20bn.

It is being learned through the available fact-n-figures that not only the SEEPZ is struggling to cross the nearest target of gem-n-jewellery exports over US$ 2.5bn but it fears to retain their export over US$ 2bn. SEEPZ export trend shows their shrinking exports!

DGCX Trading Session on February 1st

The Dubai Gold & Commodities Exchange (DGCX) is to hold a special trading session on Saturday, February 1st to allow market participants to hedge their risk before, during and after the announcement of the 2020 Union Budget of India.

All products listed on the DGCX will be available for trading. The market will open at 07:00 Dubai time with continuous trading until 15:30 on the same day. Post-Trade Reports will be made available for download from 16:30. Trades from Friday, January 30th, will be settled on Saturday, 1st February, while all trades on Saturday, February 1st will be settled on Monday, February 3rd.

Petra Diamonds production over 2mn cts!

Petra Diamonds reported Trading Update for the H1; Six Months ended 31 December 2019, ahead of the publication of the Company's Interim Results for the Period on 17 February 2020. The report says, H1 production up 3% to 2,070,240 carats (H1 FY 2019: 2,019,147 carats).

Petra is currently on track to meet or exceed FY 2020 production guidance of ca. 3.8 Mcts, as some of the Project 2022 throughput benefits are starting to deliver. H1 revenue down 6% to US$193.9 million from 1,743,807 carats sold (H1 FY 2019: US$207.1 million from 1,736,357 carats sold), mainly due to lower diamond prices and the previously reported adverse product mix at Finsch and Williamson, partially offset by the sale of the exceptional blue diamond from Cullinan.

International Competition Shanghai 2021

Dr. Mahendra Nath Pandey, Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship announces the opening of online registrations for IndiaSkills 2020, a biennial competition to scout talent from the country, offering them a platform to showcase their skills at national and international competitions.

IndiaSkills 2020 provides a platform for skilled and talented Indian youngsters to showcase their abilities at regional and national level competitions in over 50 skills.
