Reopening America, US EXIM endeavours!

Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) President and Chairman Kimberly A. Reed addressed more than 150 members of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) on Monday. EXIM, which has a 515-person workforce and $135 billion in financing authority, prioritizes supporting U.S. small-business exporters who need certainty and protection to tackle new markets, expand, and create jobs. In FY 2019, over 89 percent of EXIM’s transactions nearly 2,100 directly supported exports from American small businesses.

During a virtual fireside chat with ASAE President and CEO Susan Robertson, followed by a question-and-answer session facilitated by ASAE Vice President for Public Policy Mary Kate Cunningham, Chairman Reed discussed the importance of engaging with diverse associations and their thousands of members and business partners who seek to succeed in the global marketplace through the export of outstanding American-made goods and services. She outlined EXIM’s COVID-19 relief measures and reaffirmed the agency’s continuing commitment to supporting U.S. businesses and jobs as the country reopens and the American economy rebounds.

Altus enter Gold JV in Mali

Altus Strategies Plc, the Africa focused project and royalty generator, announces that Graphex Mining Limited has acquired the Joint Venture earn-in rights previously held by Glomin Services Ltd on the Company’s 100% owned Lakanfla and Tabakorole gold projects, located in western and southern Mali respectively.

According to the key MoU, Graphex has acquired Glomin’s interest in the Tabakorole and Lakanfla gold JV to earn up to an 80% interest in each Project by completing up to four key stages culminating in a Definitive Feasibility Study and Altus will retain a 2.5% Net Smelter Return royalty on the Projects.

Year of challenges and successes in 2019

Recently Santacruz Silver Mining Ltd reports on its financial and operating results for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2019 and for the 2019 fiscal year. Mr Carlos Silva, CEO of the Company commented; "This past year was a period of both challenges and successes. Moody's Investors Service has affirmed the Baa2 long-term issuer rating of Alrosa PJSC, outlook remains stable. The agency believes the company will retain its resilient financial position and cash flows.

The rating agency notes that the best in class profitability, prudent financial policy and the leading position in the global market allow Alrosa maintaining high credit metrics and keeping an access to domestic and international debt capital markets despite softer demand caused by a negative effect on leading economies from Covid-19.
