Gahcho Kué JV for diamond
Mountain
Province Diamonds announces an update of its exploration programs for the
Gahcho Kué Joint Venture, and for the Company's 100%-held Kennady North
Project. The winter programs were planned to run from mid-February through May
but were terminated in early April after declaration of the Covid-19 pandemic
in March.
Personnel
for both programs reported no incidence of the virus during the winter
operations, or during the 14-day self-quarantine period following completion of
the programs. A summary of activities that were completed before termination of
the winter programs is provided below.
Gold demand lowers Pan India, Improves in South!
In
his expressions, ‘India’s gold market in May’ inked by Mukesh Kumar, Market
Intelligence Group-World Gold Council (WGC ) said, Jewellery demand
improved in southern India but remained weak in other regions!
Jewellery
stores reopened in Kochi-Kerala in the week beginning 18 May.
From
discussions with local jewellery retailers in the city, daily sales in May were
reported to be ~60-70% of the comparable period of the previous year. The
retailers mentioned that the majority of sales were for delivery of jewellery
against advanced bookings made a few months ago and the number of new customers
was low.
Dynacor re-start operations in Peru
Dynacor
Gold Mines, a leading ore purchasing and processing corporation servicing
artisanal and small-scale miners (ASM), announced government approval to
re-start its ore-processing operations in Peru.
To
re-start operations, all mining companies must register their health and safety
protocol plan with the Ministry of Health. On June 5th, 2020, Dynacor received
approval for its health and safety protocol plan from the Peruvian Ministry of
Health.
On
June 4th, 2020, the Peruvian government published a decree approving phase two
re-opening of economic activities. The new decree includes medium, small scale
miners and formalized ASMs. Large scale miners were granted re-opening
permission in May 2020 when the government approved phase one.
A positive re-start at Vicenza!
A
slow re-start for Italian jewellery, as some exponents in the sector outlined,
comparing Italian jewellery retailers’ reprisal after the quarantine to setting
off with the hand brake on.
“Those
who had orders pending have come into the store but we have not had any new
customers because people have too many other things to think about.” Lorenzo
Barducci from the homonymous jewellery store speaks about a scenario familiar
to most of the sector in the big cities and in tourist locations.

Margaret was spotted wearing this 19th-century bracelet many times in public as
illustrated in photographs (see right), indicating her affinity for the piece.
Later in life Princess Margaret re-mounted some of her older jewels into modern
designs, just as Queen Victoria had done in the past. However, this diamond
bracelet was kept in its original antique setting.

a statement for Letšeng H1 2020 sales, Gem Diamonds Limited announces that the
latest Letšeng large diamond tender has closed. The Company realised an average
$/carat for H1 2020 of $1,707. This
compares to an average $/carat for H1 2019 of $1,687 and H2 2019 of $1,506.
Notably,
a 13 carat pink diamond achieved $40,110 per carat, and a 61 carat white Type
II diamond achieved $31,400 per carat.
15 diamonds sold in H1 2020 for in excess of $1 million each and one
diamond for over $5 million.
Mountain province announces revised guidance!

Province Diamonds Inc. announces revised guidance for 2020 for the Gahcho Kué
Mine. The Company withdrew its original
guidance for 2020 in March due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
2020
Revised Guidance say, 1: 37 – 39 million total tonnes mined, adjusted from
previous guidance of 42 – 43 million tonnes, 2: 3.3-3.4 million ore tonnes
mined, unchanged from previous guidance, 3: 3.3 – 3.4 million ore tonnes
treated, unchanged from previous guidance and 4: 6.3 – 6.4 million carats
recovered, adjusted from previous guidance of 6.75 – 6.95 million carats!
Auryn Resume Work in Peru!

Resources is resuming exploration activities at its Sombrero- gold skarn
mineralization and Curibaya- silver & gold veins, projects in southern
Peru. The Company has received approval from the Peruvian government to resume
work following restrictions that had been put in place due to Covid-19.

are substantial and although Covid has lengthened the process to acquire
permits, this time has allowed us to become more involved with surrounding
