A new world from a fresh: Leibish
In
his blog, Polnauer Leibish said, “G-D created and destroyed several worlds
before he allowed this world to exist", comments J.B Soloveitchik on the
Midrash Raba (according to Rabbi Aharon Rakeffet). When we all return to work
we will see the actuality of these words, “we have to start from fresh in terms
of recreating our jobs, connections, products and communications.”
Indigenous ventilator developed by STPL
Coronavirus
or COVID-19 is the largest pandemic the world has witnessed since more than a
century. It has killed thousands of people, disrupted supply chains, and caused
a lockdown of major cities. According to a Brookings report, the country might
need anywhere between 1.1-2.2 lakh ventilators by May 15 in the worst-case
scenario, whereas the number of ventilators today available in the country is
57,000 at best.
Surat-based
STPL has stepped-up in developing an indigenous ventilator sensing the dire
need of mechanical breathing device to strengthen the nations fight against the
Covid-19 pandemic. STPL is one of the few Indian companies to successfully
develop a ventilator in such a crucial time. The real challenge is to make this
life-saving device reachable to the needy people.

US Retail Sales March Plummet!
Retail
sales saw their biggest monthly drop on record during March as the coronavirus
pandemic forced restaurants, bars and many stores to temporarily close across
the nation and stay-at-home orders also impacted gasoline sales, the National
Retail Federation said.
“Covid-19
has hit the retail industry unevenly,” NRF Chief Economist Jack Kleinhenz said.
“This is a market of haves and have-nots. The haves are the stores that remain
open with lines out the doors to buy daily necessities while the have-nots are
the stores that have closed and are taking the brunt of the impact of the
pandemic. These numbers should come as no surprise given the mandated shutdown
of our economy to slow the spread of the virus.”
