47 Israeli Companies Taking Part in HK Fair

The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) will host 47
companies this year in its diamond pavilion at the June Hong Kong Jewellery
& Gem Fair, which will take place from June 22 – 25, 2017 at the Hong Kong
Convention & Exhibition Centre. In addition, 6 Israeli companies will be
exhibiting in other locations throughout the show.

DDI & AWDC Launch KP Rough Diamond Valuation Program
Antwerp: On Monday June 12, the Antwerp
World Diamond Centre (AWDC) welcomed eight participants for a two-week course
in rough diamond valuation: the "KP Technical Assistance Valuation
Program". The course originates from the commitment of the Diamond
Development Initiative (DDI), which coordinates requests for Technical Assistance
on behalf of the Administrative Support Mechanism (ASM) in the framework of the
KP. The participants work for KP authorities in four countries: Ivory Coast,
Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia.
Severalmaz Lowers 2017 Profit Forecast
Moscow: PJSC Severalmaz, which is part of
the ALROSA Group, expects to receive 413.2 million rubles in net profit in
2017, which is 13% less than a year ago. This is according to the company's
annual report.

Dominion Gains Strong Rise in Output in Fiscal Q1
Toronto: Dominion Diamond Corporation
reported a 17 percent rise in carats recovered to 2.15 million carats in the
first quarter of fiscal 2018 from 1.83 million carats a year before.This was largely due to production from the
high-grade Misery Main pipe at the Ekati mine, with stable production at the
Diavik mine for the three month period ending April 30. A higher-value ore
blend at Ekati continues to have positive impact on financial results, the firm
said.
De Beers to Start Third-Party Polished Sales
Gaborone: Sellers and buyers of responsibly
sourced, exceptional polished diamonds will be able to transact anonymously via
the De Beers Auction Sales platform for the first time this month, when the
exceptional polished stones auction is held on 29 June.
Zimbabwe’s Q1 Diamond Output Drops by 6%
Harare: Zimbabwe’s diamond output dropped 6
percent to 567,024 carats during the first quarter of the year from 603,590
carats produced a year earlier, according to data released by the finance
ministry.
