Pangolin is positive on Projects
Pangolin
Diamonds announces a drill program at the Company’s wholly-owned Malatswae and
Moenyenana Diamond Projects, Botswana.
Pangolin has been working on developing new drill targets at these projects for
the past 8 months. Dr. Chris Jennings assisted the Company’s management with
the process of identifying new pipe targets.

The
Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) officially launched a partnership with
Alibaba.com, making it the first diamond bourse to offer polished diamonds and
diamond jewelry on the platform, directly from the source. Alibaba.com is the
leading platform for global wholesale trade, serving millions of buyers and
suppliers around the world.
IDWI concludes with the face to the future!
The
7th International Diamond Week (IDWI), remained open during February 5 to 7
& concluded with a prevailing sense of optimism. The event hosted 500
buyers from 30 countries, with 200 diamond and jewelry companies exhibiting
their goods at the Trading Hall of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE).
Q4 raised up to 6% YoY
Gold
demand down by 7% in 2017!
Gold
demand rallied in the closing months of 2017, gaining 6% year-on-year in Q4 to
reach 1,095.8 tonnes (t). However, overall demand for the full year fell by 7%
to 4,071.7t, compared with 2016, according to the World Gold Council’s latest
Gold Demand Trends report.
First annual increase since 2013 in Jewellery!

jewellery demand increased by 4% globally
India’s
12% YoY improvement!
According
to the WGC report, Gold Demand Trends Full Year 2017, modest Q4 growth sets the
seal on a positive year for jewellery demand. Full-year gold jewellery demand
increased by 4% to 2,135.5t; the first year of growth since 2013. India’s 12%
YoY improvement was partly due to a very weak 2016. Demand fluctuated on
changes in tax and regulation!
R220bn SA investment include PGMs
Indaba scheduled 5th and 8th February
South Africa has more than R220 billion worth of
investments in the project pipeline for the mining industry which include the
platinum group metals (PGMs) & more minerals& metals as well as, energy. Addressing
the 2018 Annual Investing in Africa Mining Indaba in Cape Town, Mineral
Resources Minister Mosebenzi Zwane said the investment demonstrates that the
country remains a critical investment destination.

Qatari designers bags PM sponsorship
The
unique and special Young Qatari Designer’s initiative is back this year at Doha
Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE) 2018, and under the sponsorship of H E
Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin

First MSE Sentiment Index launched
The
Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Shri Arun Jaitley launched
CriSidEx , India’s first sentiment index for micro and small enterprises (
MSEs) developed jointly by CRISIL & SIDBI here today.
CriSidEx
is a composite index based on a diffusion index of 8 parameters and measures
MSE business sentiment on a scale of 0 (extremely negative ) to 200 ( extremely
positive) . The parametric feedback was captured through a survey of 1100 MSEs
in November –December.
