Krishna Exports Pvt Ltd (HK), India’s leading manufacturer of cut &
polished diamonds organised a blood donation drive on February 13, 2018 at The
Capital, BKC for the betterment of the community. HK Exports organises blood
donation drive thrice a year and all together the count till date is reached up
to 8543 units of blood from Mumbai and Surat office.
RJC introducing SDG
Recently
the RJC has announced two-part of webinar series & introducing the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These 17 goals covering social, economic
and environmental areas, were developed by the United Nations Development
Programme (UNDP) as a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the
planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

with two wonderful opportunities to commence the Year’s buying season with the
11th edition of Signature IIJS and the 5th edition of India Gem & Jewellery
Machinery Expo (IGJME).
Renard Mine accomplished

Stornoway
Diamond Corporation announced the attainment of full Completion Certification
at the Renard Mine.
Under
the terms of Stornoway’s July 2014 material project finance agreements,
including the senior secured loan agreement with Diaquem Inc and the Renard
streaming agreement.
Elizabeth Bay mine to secure future
Namdeb
Holdings, a 50/50 joint venture between the Government of the Republic of
Namibia and De Beers Group, announced it is to seek a buyer for its Elizabeth
Bay mine to secure its long-term future. The mine was commissioned in 1991 and
is located along the south-western coast of Namibia near the town Lüderitz. It
employs around 160 people and produced around 200K carats in 2017.
Elizabeth
Bay mine has contributed significantly over the years to the local economy of
Lüderitz, particularly in providing high quality job opportunities for the
local community.
IIDGR Surat Lab installs solar roof
The
solar plant to generate about
56K
units of electricity a year!
The
International Institute of Diamond Grading & Research (IIDGR), part of De
Beers Group, has installed a 34.8 kilowatt solar roof at its grading and
inscription facility in Surat, India, to provide the operation with a renewable
energy supply.
Generating
an average of 56,000 units of electricity each year, the solar plant will
reduce the heat load of the building by 90 per cent and significantly decrease
the electricity used for air-conditioning, delivering both environmental and
financial benefits.

IIJS is growing, “about 200 new stalls are being created this year at Hall 6 by
increasing a space of about 7K sq ft” said Shailesh Sanghani. One more
