Scam-hit PNB said Nirav Modi, who allegedly defrauded the bank of about Rs
11,400 crore, has come up with "some vague offers" to repay the
amount, even as the Enforcement Directorate continued raids at properties
connected with the jeweller designer.
The
country's second largest PSU bank has detected a USD 1.77 billion (about Rs
11,400 crore) scam where billionaire jeweller Nirav Modi allegedly acquired
fraudulent letters of undertaking (LoU) from a branch in Mumbai to secure
overseas credit from other Indian lenders.

First diamond recoveries from Mothae

Diamond Company report the first diamond recoveries Mothae kimberlite mine in
Lesotho.
The
diamonds were recovered through the existing bulk sampling plant and
infrastructure at Mothae,
which
has been refurbished ahead of schedule, as part of the previously announced
bulk sampling program.
Tango joins to explore Angola diamonds
Tango
Mining announces a partnership with CC Mining (CCML) with regard to diamond
projects in Angola.
Tango
and CCML have signed a term sheet committing up to USD $1,300,000 investment
that Tango will use toward the development of its Txapemba Project, Angola, subject
to certain conditions precedent.

Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) in Mumbai, expects at least 1,000 visitors from
India and abroad to take part in the first Bharat Diamond Week, to be held at
the exchange from April 23-25. The event will see 225 Indian companies
displaying polished diamonds to buyers from across the world.
