Opens stores in 4 states -West Bengal, Odisha, Assam and Karnataka

Senco Gold & Diamonds, the largest jewellery retail chain from Eastern India, has announced the re-opening of its stores across green and orange zones in 4 states -West Bengal, Odisha, Assam and Karnataka. The brand has started operating its 11 stores in these four states after getting clearance from the government. The brand will continue to follow the safety instructions suggested by Government authorities across all locations.

Making India a preferred destination

Minister of Commerce and Industry & Railways Shri Piyush Goyal has called upon the Indian Missions abroad to play an important role in identification of opportunities for Indian business and export, existing in their countries, and making India a preferred destination, a reliable destination for investment. He was speaking to 131 missions from different geographies last evening through Video conferencing, along with the External Affairs Minister Shri S. Jaishankar.

Shri Goyal said that all should work to convert this Covid-19 situation into an opportunity by coming up with new reforms to improve our industries. He said that we should aim for an economic growth higher by 3x. The Minister informed that discussion have happened at the highest levels where clear instructions have been given to capture the opportunities opening after the post-covid scenario.

Lucara recovers 190 Specials diamonds!

As at March 31, 2020, the Company had cash and cash equivalents of $27.4 million, an increase of $16.2 million from December 31, 2019. The Company maintained draws totalling $19.0 million on the working capital facility from Q1 2020.

A balance of $31.0 million is available to be drawn for working capital, if required, subsequent to March 31, 2020. The Company begins the second quarter with a strong cash position and available liquidity. A strong operating environment prevailed at the Karowe Mine in Q1 and delivered results consistent with the 2020 plan and budget: 1: 0.64 million tonnes of ore processed resulting in 91,536 carats recovered, achieving a recovered grade of 14.3 carats per hundred tonnes.

Positive drill results at Kweneng diamonds

Pangolin Diamonds Corporation updated on recent activities at its various projects in the Republic of Botswana, Africa. Its’ key highlights says, 1: Positive drill results at Kweneng, 2: 5% of chromites recovered from soils at Kweneng indicative of diamond stability field & 3: 68 aeromagnetic targets identified at Motloutse and Malatswae.

Kweneng:

Drilling intersected a shallow (< 1 m overburden) phlogopite and clinopyroxene rich ultramafic hypabyssal dyke of approximately 6m in true width. Processing of 25 kg drill chips through Pangolin’s in-house 1 TPH DMS plant produced chromite, clinopyroxene, and what is interpreted as fragments of a chromite-garnet peridotite. The Kweneng Project is located about 20 km north of Botswana’s capital, Gaborone.

De Beers Group’s Auctions business today announced the introduction of a new selling proposition that will give its Registered Buyers access to diamond purchases 24 hours, seven days a week.

This new selling proposition, known as the Buy platform, is an e-commerce offering where Registered Buyers can make an immediate, direct and straightforward purchase from a range of rough diamonds at any time and from anywhere, providing them with a further purchase option in addition to the existing limited-time auctions offering.
