GJEPC signs MoU with SRDE at the IIJS dome!
The
Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has signed MoU with the
Shenzhen Rough Diamond Exchange and will also open an office in China to
promote trade between the world's largest bullion markets, the apex trade body
has said.
Commenting
on this MoU Mr Pramod Kumar Agarwal, Chairman, The Gem and Jewellery Export
Promotion Council (GJEPC), said "We have signed MoU with the Shenzhen
Rough Diamond Exchange (SRDE) to promote our trade and open an office to tap
fast-growing Chinese diamond market. We want to broad-base our market and China
is expected to provide us opportunity as an alternative market".
IIJS breaks several past records!

2018 Concludes & reaches to a new scale!
Update
2: India International Jewellery Show (IIJS), the 35th Edition
breaks several past records & sets new bench mark! During the August 9
& up to August 13, 2018 the show hosted about 40K & 5K at the IIJS Pre
Show on August 8 at, Bombay Exhibition Centre, Hotel Leela & Hotel Lalit, Mumbai.
In
general the show witnesses about 8 to 10 new launches while the IIJS 2018
witnessed about 30 new launches of jewellery collection at Prime Show area
(Hall 1, 5, 6 & 7) & of allied section’s new launches at Hall 2! Every
player had invited their patrons & guests, invited their valued clientele
& stockists for the launching event in the arena.
Machinery section Hosted visitors at two venues!
GJEPC
organised their Machinery section of IIJS 2018 at two venues & that
tools-n-tech held successfully!
Compare
to the previous 2017 year of IIJS, IIJS 2018, Tools-n-tech-Machinery section
has registered fantastic over 40% of growth.
At the concluding day of the IIJS 2018, Pramod
Agarwal, Chairman-GJEPC expressed his enthusiasm to push the show more on a new
scale in 2019 with Colin

GJEPC to extends its’ radius to 160 countries!
According
to the Chairman,The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), Pramod
Agarwal, GJEPC has expanded their radius for growth & related initiatives
across the 160 countries across the globe! He was talking about delegations
that GJEPC hosted in the IIJS 2018 arena.
He
said the IIJS hosted about 500 delegates& those have visited show from
about 15 countries.International delegations from Australia, UK, USA, China,
Sri Lanka, Iran along with Bangladesh and Malaysia Indonesia, Nepal are making
it to India’s flagship Gem & Jewellery Show. And a step further GJEPC the inked
MoU with China Delegation.
Road map for IIJS 2019
At
the occasion of concluding IIJS 2018, the 35th edition, Pramod
Agarwal, Chairman-GJEPC said: “right with the concluding day of the IIJS 2018,
IIJS team would start working on the improvement further of IIJS for 2019!” He
also said the team is working on registration for IIJS 2019; the team is
focusing to set up a system to accept 100% registration Online Only!
Shailesh
Sangani, Convener-National Exhibitions GJEPC extended his view to edge up more
the IIJS in 2019. ‘Yet it’s a raw’, he said ‘let’s working on!’ In the row he
reaffirms GJEPC’s new beginning & an introduction of Preview Day of IIJS,
just ahead a day before curtain raising ceremony!
With US tax reform NRF increased sales forecast 2018
The
National Retail Federation (NRF) US increased its retail sales forecast for
2018, saying sales are expected to grow more than previously predicted thanks
to tax reform and other positive economic inputs but warning that tariffs
threaten to dampen consumer confidence.
NRF
now expects 2018 retail sales to increase at a minimum of 4.5 percent over 2017
rather than the 3.8 to 4.4 percent range forecast earlier this year. The
numbers exclude automobiles, gasoline stations and restaurants. “Higher wages,
gains in disposable income, a strong job market and record-high household net
worth have all set the stage for very robust growth in the nation’s
consumer-driven economy,” NRF President.

All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) has organized an exclusive
event called Lumiere for the participants of PMI (Preferred Manufacturer of
India). The event was presented by Swarovski Gemstones with exquisite jewellery
displays and entertainment galore.
