India eye to be a global leader of 4th IRTs
The
New Industrial Policy framed by the Ministry of Commerce in consultation with
all Ministries of Government of India, State Governments, Industry and all
stakeholders embodies the Government’s intention to align India with the
emerging technologies of drones, artificial intelligence and block chain.
This
was stated by the Union Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation,
Suresh Prabhu, at the launch of the Centre for the Fourth Industrial
Revolution, India, by the Geneva-based World Economic Forum (WEF) in New Delhi.
Alrosa sales large rough for US $7.9mn
ALROSA,
the world's largest diamond mining company, has sold special size rough
diamonds (over 10.8 carats) at an auction in New York which was held from
September 17 till October 5.
The
company sold more than 90% lots with total weight of over 1.300 carats worth
$7.9 million. The auction was attended by clients from the US, India, Israel,
Belgium, the United Arab Emirates and others.
The
key stones of the action were - a white diamond with yellow shade weighing almost
98 carats and a white diamond weighing 108 carats. Both stones were mined at
the Yubileinaya pipe in Yakutiya. Recently Evgeny Agureev, the Member of the
Executive committee, Director of the USO ALROSA, noted that such large and pure
diamonds are extremely rare in nature.
Artisanal gold miners project in Peru
Dynacor
Gold Mines and its Swiss partner PX Précinox have completed their first
large-scale social impact project under the PX Impact label focused on
artisanal mining communities in Peru. In September 2018, the inauguration of a
US sixty-thousand-dollar Phase 1 project took place in Secocha, Southern Peru.
This project focuses on education combining the construction of two
laboratories – one for general science and one for computer sciences.
The
total size of the learning area is approximately 140 m2. The computer center
includes seventeen new computers, teaching software and a high-speed wide-band
internet connection. This participative project was implemented in the Ricardo
Palma public school with 1,000 primary and secondary school students. The
Municipality of Secocha and the parent association were also directly involved
in the project from the beginning by providing some of the construction
workers.
1.4mn oz Silver produces in Q3 at Endeavour!
Endeavour
Silver production for the Third Quarter, 2018 from the Company’s three
silver-gold mines in Mexico: the Guanaceví mine in Durango State and the
Bolañitos and El Cubo mines in Guanajuato State reaches 1,428,828 oz Silver and
gold 12,968 oz.
Silver
production increased 13% to 1,428,828 oz & Gold production decreased 5% to
12,968 oz in Q3, 2018
At
sales front, Silver oz sold increased 20% to 1,532,097 oz Gold oz sold
decreased 5% to 13,025 oz. Bullion inventory at quarter-end included 58,855 oz
silver and 130 oz gold. Concentrate inventory at quarter-end included 43,920 oz
silver and 603 oz gold.
K92 Q3 gold production reaches over 9K oz
K92
said its’ Q3 2018 production of 9,549 ounces of gold and from the Kaina K92
Q3ntu Mine. K92 Mining operations during Q3 2018 at its Kainantu Gold Mine in
Papua New Guinea produced 9,549 ounces of gold, and 2,551 oz of silver or 9,910
at Gold price of US$1,300/oz & Silver US$16.5/oz.
As
previously reported, mining operations were disrupted for a period of over
three weeks in July due to a fall of ground near muck bay 4 in the incline,
which necessitated remediation action and replacement of ground support in the
area. The production was achieved from operating less than 75% of the quarter,
while during the balance of the quarter production exceeded 1,000 oz AuEq per
week.

Modi gears up Fourth Industrial Revolution!

the occasion of launches of India's first and the fourth center of the Fourth
Industrial Revolution Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed in the presence of
World Economic Forum President Mr Borge Brende, a respected member of the
industry, other guests from abroad and abroad, and colleagues. He said: “It is
very pleasant for me that the World Economic Forum remembered me at the launch
of India's first and the fourth center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
In
his key note speech he said, The ‘Industry Four Point Zero’ seems that it is talking
about the industry. But those components, which have its power, have the
capacity to change the present and future of human life. The way the
disruptive, interconnected technologies are emerging in today's global
scenario, it is unprecedented.
Stornoway produces 329306 carats in Q3
Stornoway
Diamond Corporation Reports third Quarter 2018 Production and Sales Results at
the Renard Diamond Mine for the quarter ended September 30, 2018. About 184,620
carats sold in two tender sales for gross proceeds1 of $24.7 million 2 at an
average price of US$103 per carat and tender 2 at $134 per carat. Third quarter
diamond sales represent diamonds recovered during the second quarter.
Third
quarter diamond production was 329,306 carats produced from the processing of
597,761 tonnes of ore at an average grade of 55 cpht. Grade and carat
recoveries improved by 39% and 47% respectively compared to the second quarter
with the mining of higher grade ore.
Angola seized more than 30K diamond stones
Over
thirty thousand diamond stones were seized in various provinces of the country,
as part of the transparency operation carried out by the Angolan Executive
since last September 25. The stones correspond to 1,894 carats, 1,403 still to
be evaluated, according to Commissioner António Bernardo, spokesman for the
operation that aims to control illegal immigration and trafficking of diamonds.
St Barbara to explore over350K Oz production!
St
Barbara said, its’ consolidated gold production was 98,547 ounces in the Q1
FY19 and is on track to meet FY19 guidance of 350K to 375K ounces. Gwalia
produced 62,685 ounces of gold in the quarter, in line with FY19 guidance of
245K to 260K ounces. Simberi produced 35,862 ounces of gold in the quarter,
continuing the strong performance of FY18 and FY19 guidance is maintained at
105K to 115K ounces.
