92.68% of the total IGST claims refunded
Clarification
on Sanction of GST Refunds
It
has been noticed that unverified reports of pending GST refunds on account of
exports are published in the print media by trade bodies. These figures being
put out in the public domain are exaggerated and thus inaccurate. It is a fact
that a large number of exporters have been granted refunds so far while a few
claims are still pending owing to deficiencies found in the claims.
In
this regard, it is clarified that about 92.68% (Rs 38,824 crore) of the total
IGST refund claims (Rs. 41,889 crore) transmitted to Customs from GSTN as on
date have already been disposed. The remaining claims amounting to Rs. 3065
crores are held up on account of various deficiencies which have been
communicated to exporters for remedial action.
Discounts attracts regardless of Age or Income
Almost
all U.S. consumers are value-conscious shoppers who regularly visit discount
retailers to find a bargain, according to the latest issue of the quarterly
Consumer View report released today by the National Retail Federation.
“Looking
for the best price is a habit that cuts across almost every demographic,” NRF
Vice President for Research Development and Industry Analysis Mark Mathews
said. “Regardless of income or generation, virtually everyone wants a bargain
whether it’s for everyday necessities or big-ticket splurges. Even those who
can afford to shop elsewhere love finding a ‘steal,’ and it’s a habit that’s
here to stay.”

Curtain SA’s deep level mining
The
era of deep-level gold and platinum mining in South Africa, which is the world
leader in these fields, is drawing to a close with no more deep-level shafts
likely to be sunk.
That
was the message from a panel of heavyweight mining industry executives
discussing the opportunities and challenges for gold and platinum group metals
(PGMs) at the Joburg Indaba mining investment conference held in Johannesburg.
The
panel consisted of Impala Platinum (Implats) CEO, Nico Muller; Anglo American
Platinum (Amplats) CEO, Chris Griffith; Lonmin CEO, Ben Magara; Harmony Gold

Platinum Evara’s mother daughter bond
The
bond between a mother and daughter is indefinable. They are united through
threads of nurturance, compassion and unconditional love. Today however, the
curve of this relationship has evolved - the traditional power equation has
collapsed, mothers and daughters are friends first. There is an intimacy that
perhaps didn’t exist in that relationship earlier, since it was governed by
roles.
Conceptualized
and developed by Metal Communications, Platinum Evara’s latest campaign
carefully brings out this nuance, a mother who knows her daughter, her choices,
her preferences, her every said and unsaid word. In the chaos of wedding
planning and her effort to get everything right however, much like in real
life, the mother forgets that one special gift, a symbol of her love that she
promised herself she would get her daughter.
