Be Limitless: Forevermark India hosted Forum in Bengaluru
Over
the past eight years, Forevermark, the diamond brand from the De Beers Group,
has spearheaded an all-encompassing platform, the Forevermark Forum, for all
their authorised jewellers, diamantaires and manufacturers from around the
world. The goal of the Forum is to bring its partners together to interact,
network and exchange insights on Forevermark’s growth and vision for the
industry, within a global framework.
This
year’s Forum, held from 9th to 11th July, 2019, celebrated
a new theme: ‘Be Limitless’. Key discussions revolved around diversity in
thought, culture, design and innovation. Forevermark, known for the most

insightful journey of exclusive showcases, comprehensive consumer and retail
awareness campaigns, technology breakthroughs for the industry along with

exclusively carry Forevermark diamonds in a wide variety of elegant jewellery

Rio Tinto unveiled rarest diamonds
Rio
Tinto has unveiled its annual showcase of the world’s rarest pink and red
diamonds in an exclusive preview at the Argyle mine site in the east Kimberley
region of Western Australia. The 64-diamond collection, including three Fancy
Red diamonds and weighing 56.28 carats in total, make up the 2019 Argyle Pink
Diamonds Tender.
Rio
Tinto Copper & Diamonds chief executive Arnaud Soirat said “I am delighted
to be at the Argyle mine for this exclusive world preview. These diamonds, each
a natural treasure, are a testament to the enormous range and depth of offering
from the Argyle ore body, nearly four decades from when production commenced.
Banks reform for timely detection!
Occurrence
of frauds was enabled by laxity in the financial system, and the underlying
causes have been systematically dealt with by the Government through
comprehensive steps for reduction in occurrence of frauds, and their proactive
checking and timely detection.
The
steps taken in this regard include, inter-alia, the following:
1. Government
has issued “Framework for timely detection, reporting, investigation etc.
relating to large value bank frauds” to Public Sector Banks (PSBs), for
systemic and comprehensive checking of legacy stock of their non-performing
assets (NPAs), which provides, inter-alia, that-2. all accounts exceeding Rs.
50 crore, if classified as NPAs, be examined by banks from the angle of
possible fraud, and a report placed before the bank’s Committee for Review of
NPAs on the findings of this investigation;
ADPA ministers meeting in Windhoek
An
Angolan delegation led by the Secretary of State for Geology and Mines, Jânio
Corrêa Víctor, will participate in the 6th meeting of the Council of Ministers
of the African Diamond Producers Association (ADPA) in Windhoek, Namibia.
The
delegation, which includes officials from the Ministry of Mineral Resources and
Petroleum and the National Kimberley Process Commission, will discuss with the
other members of ADPA the "Report on the activities of the organization's Executive
Secretariat for the past two years, schedule of activities for 2019-2020, and
Financial report of the association on the financial year 2017 ".
Stornoway production reaches over 463K carats
Stornoway
sold in two tender sales for gross proceeds1 of $47 million2 at an average
price of US$76 per carat.

Diamond Corporation announces production and sales results at the Renard
Diamond Mine for the quarter ended June 30, 2019.
According
to the announcements, 460,832 total carats sold in two tender sales for gross
proceeds1 of $47 million2 at an average price of US$76 per carat ($102 per
carat2). In terms of total carats sold, pricing and gross proceeds, this
represents variations of +7%, -9% and -1% over the first quarter, respectively.
Second quarter diamond sales represent diamonds recovered during the first
quarter.
Alrosa earns $3 mn in polished sales
Alrosa,
a global leader in diamond mining, summed up the results of the tender for
polished diamonds, which was held in New York this June. The company's cutting
division - Diamonds of Alrosa organized the tender.
The
company sold 20 polished diamonds with total weight of 140.4 carats. That
amount included 8 gemstones of standard color and 12 fancy colored polished
diamonds, most of them had Fancy Yellow and Fancy Intense Yellow
characteristics.
The
overall revenue amounted to $3 mln. There were 29 participants from several
countries at the tender, and 11 firms were recognized as winners in different
tender positions.
GoGold reports Parral project report at June end!
GoGold
Resources Inc announces record production of 250,073 ounces of silver and 2,281
ounces of gold for 451,011 silver equivalent ounces at the Parral project
during the quarter ended June 30, 2019, an increase of 6% from the previous
quarter which at the time was record production.
The
Company continues to focus on quality agglomeration to ensure strong recoveries
are achieved. The Company placed 519,643
tons on the heap leach pad which is an increase of 9% over the previous
quarter. Mr Brad Langille, President and
CEO, stated, “This is our second quarter in a row where we have set the
production record at Parral. We’re also
pleased with the progress on the SART, with the engineering nearing completion
and key components procured, with construction still on schedule to be
completed prior to the end of 2019.”
Asanko Q2 gold production over 62K oz
Asanko
Gold Inc announces production results for the second quarter (Q2) 2019 from the
Asanko Gold Mine (AGM), located in Ghana, West Africa. The AGM is a 50:50 JV with
Gold Fields Ltd which is managed and operated by Asanko. All dollar figures are
US$ unless otherwise stated.
According
to the highlights, AGM Q2 registers a record proceeds of $85.6 million
generated from record gold sales of 66,337 ounces at an average realized price
of $1,290 per ounce. Record gold production of 62,067 ounces, on track to meet
2019 production guidance!
