Liberty Gold Announces Second New Discovery

Liberty Gold Corp announced that new drilling at Black Pine in southern Idaho has successfully intersected another thick zone of high grade oxide gold mineralization, expanding the size and potential of this Carlin–style gold system. 

 

This second discovery intercept of 1.78 grams per tonne gold (“g/t Au”) over 48.8 metres (“m”) in drill hole LBP023 is located beneath the limit of historical drilling approximately 240 m to the northeast of drill hole LBP021, which returned 1.78 g/t Au over 47.2 m, as reported in the June. The drilling confirms that high grade oxide gold mineralization is present in the gap area, with the intercept located only 65 m below the floor of the pit.

Gross NPAs of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have declined by Rs. 89,189 crore from the peak of Rs. 8,95,601 crore in March 2018 to Rs. 8,06,412 crore in March 2019New Delhi, June 25, 2019.

 

As per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data on global operations (provisional data for the financial year ending March 2019), Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of Public Sector Banks (PSBs) have declined by Rs. 89,189 crore from the peak of Rs. 8,95,601 crore in March 2018 to Rs. 8,06,412 crore in March 2019 (provisional data).

June sales reached $222 million at Alrosa

Alrosa, the world’s largest diamond miner, announces diamond sales results for June and six months of 2019.

 

In June, Alrosa Group sold $222.4 million worth of rough and polished diamonds. Rough diamond sales by value amounted to $219.3 million, polished diamond sales – $3.1 million. Alrosa’s total rough and polished diamond sales in January-June 2019 amounted to $1,811 million. During the six months of 2019, rough diamonds were sold for $1,784 million, polished diamonds – for $27.3 million.

Imports at the nation’s major retail container ports will remain at high levels this summer but are expected to grow only modestly compared with last year’s rush to bring merchandise into the country ahead of scheduled tariff increases, according to the monthly Global Port Tracker report released today by the National Retail Federation and Hackett Associates.

 

“Retailers still want to protect their customers against potential price increases that would come with any additional tariffs, but with the latest proposed tariffs on hold for now and warehouses bulging, there’s only so much they can do,” NRF Vice President for Supply Chain and Customs Policy Jonathan Gold said.

De beers elephant conservation initiative

De beers elephant conservation initiative

De Beers Group announced that the second translocation of elephants from its Venetia Limpopo Nature Reserve (VLNR) in South Africa to Zinave National Park in Mozambique has taken place.

 

The first herds of elephants were corralled at the VLNR on 25 June, before making their journey by road some 1,700km where they were released at Zinave on 27 June. The final herds arrived at Zinave today, bringing the total number of elephants moved in 2019 to 53.
