Ind-Ra revised FY20 GDP growth India
Recently
Dr. Sunil Kumar Sinha, Principal Economist and Director Public Finance, India
Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has revised India FY20 gross domestic product
(GDP) growth down to 6.1% following Central Statistical Organisation (CSO)
estimating 1QFY20 GDP growth to be 5.0%, much lower than Ind-Ra’s estimate of
5.7%.
Russian Path & global jewellery industry discussed

Gold Corp, a privately-held arms'-length company, pursuant to which the parties
will review a transaction in which the Company will assign its interests in one
or more of its gold exploration projects located in Burkina Faso, West Africa,

Corum unveils two limited editions
Corum
unveils two limited editions of their Golden Bridge, combining the aesthetic of
the baguette movement with that of suspension bridges. Two aerial works of art,
suspended in the void, hoisting the creativity of the brand to a new level

National Fellowship for district skill
To
boost skill development at the district level, the Ministry of Skill Development
and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) signed a contract with the Indian Institute of
Management (IIM) Bangalore for introducing a two-year fellowship programme
Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (MGNF) programme.
WDC focuses on strengthening KP scope
Members
of the World Diamond Council (WDC) assembled in Antwerp, Belgium, on October 2
and 3, 2019, for the organization’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). The
proceedings were dominated by discussions about the pending conclusion of the
Kimberley Process’ review and reform process, and the related call by WDC and
others that it includes a strengthening of the scope of the Kimberley Process
Certification Scheme (KPCS).
CIBJO releases Coloured Stone Report
With
fewer than six weeks to go to the opening of the 2019 CIBJO Congress in Manama,
Bahrain, on November 18, 2019, the fifth of the CIBJO commissions' Special
Reports has been released. Prepared by the CIBJO Coloured Stone Commission,
headed by Charles Abouchar, the report looks at opportunities provided by new
technologies, and also at the vexing issue of gemstone variety names being used
for marketing purposes, with few if any agreed to gemmological standards.
