Looking at Dhanteras at latch, Mr Shreyansh Kapoor, Vice President and Partner, Kashi Jewellers says, “The industry is going through a massive change right now. There has been a lot of shift in how jewellers are buying, how they are selling and how they are managing their business. Overall billing on raw materials has reduced as GST on diamonds was reduced from 3% to 2.5%. That has been a positive development.

Gold rate has been steady over the last year, with a gain of almost 20% so it still remains a great investment vehicle for consumers. Right now we are already around the 39,000 mark. I don't see gold prices dropping anytime in the near future given that we are already in the festive season, once that ends, the wedding season begins immediately. So investment outlook for Gold shall remain strong.

SaffronArt Conference held in Mumbai

The second SaffronArt Jewellery Conference took place in Mumbai, India, last week. This year’s conference sought to trace, in the words of Saffronart’s President and co-founder Minal Vazirani, “…the dialogue between tradition and modernity, history and myth, and charts a contemporary Indian aesthetic in jewellery design.”

Mumbai witnessed 13th IIGJ convocation

On 19th October 2019, Indian Institute of Gem and Jewellery (IIGJ) Mumbai witnessed a landmark celebration for its 13th Convocation Ceremony for the award of Degree in Bachelor of Arts (Gems & Jewellery) 2019 along with parents, students and esteemed guests.

India the lowest corporate tax country in the world

Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, led the Indian delegation at G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors as well as the BRICS Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meetings held in Washington D.C yesterday. Finance Minister is leading the Indian delegation to the IMF/WB Annual Meetings being held in Washington D.C this week.

The focus of discussions in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting was on the current challenges to the global economy and possible responses to mitigate them. Smt Sitharaman emphasized that the G20 has the responsibility to navigate the global policy co-ordination in effective fashion by identifying and taking strong measures for building buffers and catalysing a second wave of reforms.

Granada Hits High-Grade gold

By providing on latest drill programme detail Granada Gold Mine Inc it is the first results from its latest drill program at its 100% owned Granada gold deposit in Rouyn-Noranda. Coarse, native gold was observed in the drill core. GR-19-E intersected a high-grade zone with 12.32 g/t Au over 2 meters including 48.80 g/t over 0.50 meters at a core length depth of 35.5 meters on the extended LONG Bars zone. Results are pending for GR-19-A, GR-19-B and GR-19-C for high grade verifications.
