We fight this pandemic with solidarity!
Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India expressed out on Covid-19, he said, “In the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, we are confronted with a pandemic that government agencies are doing their best to control. It is important that we fight this pandemic with solidarity, resilience, efficiency and compassion as one team, one industry and one nation.
In the current scenario, Informa Markets in India, as the nation’s leading B2B event’s organizer, has taken necessary and responsible measures in a bid to flatten the COVID transmission curve. We have reinstated a work-from-home policy from 19th March onwards and have identified critical team members to assist in potential crisis moments. We also have a core COVID committee in place that is examining the constantly evolving situation closely.
It is humbling that while we follow the norms of responsible social distancing, our team members are working closely together thanks to a plethora of technologies that we have implemented to enable them to work optimally from home. We believe, amidst the adverse situation we are currently facing globally, we will also have found newer opportunities of using remote technology to its fullest for the benefit of professionals.
One of the founding principles of our group, Informa PLC, is to connect specialists with knowledge for a purpose, helping them learn more, know more and do more and what a better time than now? Keeping the business, knowledge & networking needs of our valued customers as our priority, we are currently building a comprehensive and soon-to-be-available online platform.
When it comes to our events calendar, we have sensitively responded by reworking some of our shows to the second half of the year. With the current stem in the tide for these next few weeks, we can safely predict a reactive upswing, as professionals the world over would be keen to turn to ‘business as usual’. We believe our responsibility lies in catalyzing the process of helping different sectors seamlessly spring back through our dynamic and innovative platforms.
‘Actively working remotely’ then is what we have in mind as we strive to reassure, engage and motivate our team members and stakeholders, collaborating with them on ways to make the idea of ‘business as usual’ safe, smart and swift. Meanwhile, I wish for you and your family, good health and safety.”
