M-SCREEN 4.0 automatically screens up!
The start of a new year is a good time to look back at the highlights of the previous year. Laboratory grown diamonds (LGD) are still an issue for our industry and HRD is continued to fight against their mis-sorting. To help, they have launched some innovative instruments, including our J-SCREEN, a desktop device for screening and detecting both loose diamonds and diamond jewellery, and our M-SCREEN 4.0, which automatically screens up to 15,000 melee diamonds per hour.
Both devices separate natural stones from simulants and potentially laboratory grown diamonds for increased consumer peace of mind. Simultaneously, HRD has introduced renewed laboratory grown diamond grading report, which examines disclosed man-made stones while highlighting their laboratory grown status.
“We believe this transparency will help our industry to accept the improvements in their quality, while consumers learn to appreciate the differences in value between natural and lab grown diamonds. Lastly, we have expanded our network thanks to the opening of our new drop-off point in London. This opens up our certification service to a wider range of customers” says HRD.
