Chinese knotting jewellery show in Mumbai
Chinese knotting jewellery show is scheduled on December 4th and 5th at BARO, Lower Parel- Mumbai. BARO presents Sagiri Dayal who lives in Hong-Kong and loves arts, handicrafts and also creates one of a kind jewellery pieces through the unique art of Chinese knotting. Jade is strung in Chinese Knotting, traditionally done in silk thread.
She has experimented with Jade and Chinese Knotting and added more elements- silver beads from Bali, Jarau and Kundan from India, Pieces from Istanbul, Vintage and antique brooches and pendants from Europe and all of this will be showcased at BARO.
In this collection, she will introduce Thai Enamel for the first time which is similar to the Minakari in India. It uses heated precious and semi/ precious stones. The show will also comprise heritage collection- Indian pieces mixed with Jade.
