BDB to go big soon, likely in August !
The first ever Bharat Diamond Week (BDW) –the mega buying event concludes with marvellous level of networking & fantastic buying with potential queries further! The mega buying season, BDW ran through April 23 to 25, 2018.
Virtually every visitor remained a vibrant buyer. Satisfactorily & with confident manages their product mix! Many stalls run out of the stock, fewer sole entire range of big size. Even in the star & mêlée range, where major buyer lacks trust & can’t sure if it is 100% a natural diamond mix! And in the scenario the Week sold significantly sold the range on the back of buyer confidence that it must be a natural diamond only if it is in the boundaries of Bharat Diamond Bourse!
De facto long back the BDB had resolved & conveyed its’ resolution that they have ‘Zero Tolerance’ for HPHT & CVD like products. Any such products are not allowed even in the BDB campus & equally BDB made available detection instrument-n-tech-n-tools at BDB with easy access!
Majority buyer had a great confidence that this must a natural-n-mined stoned only if it is brought from BDB! This confidence worked better & buyer bag their full product mix! According to Nayan Jani, veteran media player for the GJ industry & trade, “WFDB like key body also have to take a stand by showing ‘Zero Tolerance’ for such products!”
On the contrary, when BDB passed the resolution of ‘Zero Tolerance’ & of ‘No entry’ for such products in the BDB Campus, WFDB had made a statement: the ‘WFDB is not opposed to the trade in such stones as long as they are fully disclosed’ & I think this is the weaker link of any bourse who deals both under one roof!”
Previously it was announced that the BDW would be organised twice in a year yet, because of overwhelming response, management & key player is thinking to organise the 2nd edition of the BDW in the month of August, it is most likely to hear such announcement soon!
According to the sources at ground zero, BDB would organise the edition next in a big way to accommodate hundreds of stalls in the BDB.
