GJEPC’s core team namely Mr. Pramod Agarwal - Chairman, Mr. Colin Shah - Vice Chairman, Mr. Russell Mehta - Advisor to Chairman, Mr. Sanjay Kothari - Convener BITC, Mr. Mavjibhai Patel - Member BITC and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray - Chief Executive Director met with Mr. Rajnish Kumar- Chairman of SBI, Mr. PN Prasad - Chief General Manager and Mr. Joydev Mukherjee - Deputy General Manager.

 

GJEPC tabled & discussed the financing of the Indian Gem and Jewellery Industry view. Mr. Rajnish Kumar assured the industry that the bank is only looking at risk mitigating issues for the finance extended to the sector. Within the next six months, the SBI and GJEPC will work together to bring in strong risk mitigation measures without harming the operations and export growth of the sector.

 

This strong partnership with the SBI will reassure the growth of the industry and help to enhance the employment and exports of the country.
