Flying start of Signature IIJS 2018
Day 1 witnessed about five new launches!
11th edition of Signature IIJS & 5th edition of IGJME inaugurated by Chief Guest Mr Arunkumar Mehta, Chairman-Rosy Blue (India) Pvt Ltd & B Arunkumar & Co in the presence of Shri Pramod Agarwal, Chairman-
GJEPC, Colin Shah, Vice Chairman-GJEPC, Shri Shailesh Sangani, Convener–National Exhibitions, Shri Kirit Bhansali, Committee of Administration – Diamond Panel, GJEPC, Smt Veena Wadkar, Executive Director - Operations, GJEPC & amid gem-n-jewellery fraternity. Arunbhai also unveiled the 11th Signature IIJS and 5th IGJME exhibition catalogue.
At the occasion Arunbhai said, ‘we have to revive our old glory of the trade & to spark again!’ Industry should meet the challenges! At the occasion Pramod Agarwal said, “We are disappointed with the increase in customs duty on cut and polished Diamonds and cut and polished coloured gemstones from 2.5% to 5%, as it was not included as part of the industry’s recommendations to the Government.”
Although Chairman welcome MSME initiatives & the proposal to cut corporate tax of companies with annual turnover of upto Rs. 250 crore to 25% will benefit the gems and jewellery sector. The cut in corporate tax will result in more investments and job creation. He also welcome the Government's move to contribute 12% to Employee Provident Fund (EPF) in wages of new employment for three years in all sectors.
Right with the inaugural Signature IIJS kick-started and dome witnessed at least five new launches events on day I. Italian Trade Agency A.F.E.M.O. to launched the book of ‘Top 100 most valuable companies’ of TNJ Group at Italian Pavilion where Shri Shailesh Sangani remained present on the dais with Italian players.
Tanvi Gold Cast unveils Yug collection. A new branding partner of Swarovski Gemstones launched gold Jewellery collection in the presence of Mr. Pramod Derewala, Chairman GJEPC Chief Guest along with Ms. Roza Topolnicka, Head of Creative & Retail Marketing - Swarovski Gemstones and Mr. Rajendra Jain, MD India - Swarovski Gemstones as Guest of Honour.
Bhindi manufacturers Nazrana collection launched finely crafted 22 kt handmade jewellery set with Swarovski Zirconia in the presence of Mr. Pramod Derewala, Chairman GJEPC as Chief Guest along with Ms. Roza Topolnicka, Head of Creative & Retail Marketing - Swarovski Gemstones and Mr. Rajendra Jain, MD India - Swarovski Gemstones as Guest of honors.
On the other hand, Dassani Brothers introduced their Abhaya-premium luxury collection, followed successful launches of Amria. Emerald Jewel Industry also showcased & debut Unikraft collection!
